About Us

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20

At Marshfield Church of the Nazarene, we have a tradition of teaching biblical principles based on the belief that God inspired the Word to teach us in all things and to draw us closer to Him. We take the call to make disciples (the Great Commission in Matthew 28) very seriously and strive to equip all Christians to make disciples of others through their lives, teaching, devotions, worship, reading the Word and praying as we are instructed to in the Bible.

Our hope is that you will join us for an in-depth study and understanding of God’s Word and that you find the tools and ministries to apply God’s Word to your life.

Agreed Statement of Belief

These are the beliefs Nazarenes hold to be true:

  • We believe in one God; the Father, Son and Holy Sprit

  • We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

  • We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefor, inclined to evil, and that continually.

  • We believe that the family impenitent are hopeless and eternally lost.

  • We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

  • We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

  • We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
